introduction

Hamid Fardi received the PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder(UCB) in 1986. In '87, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute(RPI) working on II-VI materials using OMVPE technique. He joined the University of Colorado Denver in 1992 where he is now a professor of Electrical Engineering Department. He received the Western Universities Fellowship Award through National Renewable Energy Laboratory(NREL) in 1996 and 1997. In 1997, he received the Researcher of the Year Award of the College of Engineering, University of Colorado Denver. His research interests concern the physics and stimulation of novel semiconductor devices. Dr. Fardi is a senior memeber of IEEE Electron Device Society where he is also the treasurer for the Denver Chapter.
